Fresh Start Program
In The Orchard offers The John Howard Society and the Niagara Catholic School Board a healthy space for youth to attend art class and gain life skills. These students struggle with traditional post-secondary education and the studio offers them the opportunity to become engaged in activities 'outside the box'. Artist mentors teach that art is a powerful method of communication. The Fresh Start Program runs every two weeks on Fridays between 11:45 am to 2:15 pm. In the past, two students returned to the studio to specifically let us know that they had graduated. |
