The eARTh Program is designed to educate students on the importance of recycling, reusing and reducing. The goal is to challenge students to think responsible and to use their imagination to help solve the problem of excessive packaging and help minimize their carbon footprint. Lesson plans will combine school-based curriculums with modern art to provide the over-all message: art with a purpose.

The eARTh Program has been inspired by In The Orchard's recent partnership with the Salvation Army. The Ontario Arts Council granted In The Orchard $7,000 to research and develop the possibility of starting Niagara's first recycled art collective. This collective is very exciting for In The Orchard and will allow for the integration of youth programs, art education and business education for the youth of Pelham. The Pelham pilot project will eventually engage 5 other Salvation Army stores throughout the great lakes division; these include: Fort Erie, St. Catharines, Welland and Dunnville.

In order to showcase In The Orchard's ongoing work, a community art garden is currently in the works. In The Orchard has been offered land to plant an art garden and is in the process of researching partners and resources, specifically acquiring funding from the Niagara Neighbourhood Idea Fund. If this vision becomes successful, In The Orchard will integrate its eARTh Program into an Art Garden Tour. Students, especially those from the John Howard Society, that require community service hours would then be provided with another location to do so.
